Monday, August 31: Day 80

Today was so much fun! Becky and I went on the Portage Glacier Cruise, the Wildlife Conservation Center, an Iditarod tour downtown, Moose's Tooth, and Lake Hood! We had to pack it all in before she left. Here's the view we saw as we pulled out of Anchorage and got on the Seward Highway. This is what I love about living in Alaska.
We were so prepared for the icy wind! Layers are key on an Alaskan cruise.
This time of year, the moose's antlers are starting to shed, which you can kind of see from this picture. Within a month or so, they should fall off completely.
The puppies at the Iditarod thing was definitely the highlight. But there were also some fun things they did like they had one of their dogs pull 800 lbs of weight and then a whole team pulled a big truck across the gravel. Then they showed us how they can steer the team with voice commands. Pretty impressive.
I really wish Becky lived up here! I was sad she couldn't be here for longer. Love you, sis!
